Ronen Binder

Ronen Binder is a singer. He needed a video for a song about one night on the Riviera: a casino, a woman, a bet that costs more than money. A real shoot in Monaco was out of reach, and stock footage would have killed the song.

The brief was a film, not a slideshow of AI pictures: faces that stay the same from scene to scene, real light, a cut that follows the music.

Black and white, because the story is about light and shadow, not about the colour of a Rolls-Royce. Grain, long lenses, a hero who barely acts with his face: the language of Riviera cinema of the sixties.

One night, told in order: the harbour at dusk, the entrance, the table, the drive, the rain, the morning. The song sets the tempo and the film never argues with it.

Script, storyboard, direction and edit. Every frame was generated and directed by the studio: no camera, no crew, no location.

The hard part is not the picture but the consistency: the same faces, the same night and the same grain across three and a half minutes. Each scene was rebuilt until it belonged to the same film.

A three-and-a-half-minute film that looks shot, not generated: the light, the faces and the rhythm hold for the whole song.

For the singer, a video at the level of a label production. For the studio, proof that a brand film no longer needs a budget for a crew. It needs a story and someone who will not stop at the first good frame.
